Light It Up! For NDEAM

Light It Up! For NDEAM (National Disability Employment Awareness Month) is a national campaign spearheaded by the Ontario Disability Employment Network. In Saskatchewan, SARC is leading the way and we want to show all of Canada how brightly we can shine.

Way to go Saskatchewan, you helped us crush last years numbers for Light it Up! For NDEAM!

On the night of October 17, Light it Up! For NDEAM we saw 812 locations in 196 cities and towns across Canada light up in purple and blue lights to bring awareness to inclusive hiring.

In Saskatchewan, we saw 117 locations in 18 communities light up the land of the living skies in hues of purple and blue.

Saskatchewan ranked third in Canada for participation, and we showed the rest of the country how brightly we can shine for inclusive employment.

What is DEAM?

The goal of DEAM is to build awareness about the benefits of inclusive hiring. Benefits include:

  • Increased safety rates
  • Increased productivity
  • Increased morale
  • Increased profits – increases the bottom line!
